The new owner of a Luhrs 37 asked me recently to give him some tips on the IPS Pod Drive system powering his boat. As I had never been onboard a Luhrs of any shape before, I grasped the opportunity and we headed out beyond the heads into open ocean.
She performed like the true blue water gamefishing boat she was designed to be, quick off the mark, smooth, dry and particularly manoeuvrable. I was pretty excited when I realised she was fitted with the IPS Sportfish mode, a device I was previously unfamiliar with.
