Riviera 43 Open Flybridge - Popular two cabin, two ensuite version

The Riviera 43 is a volumous vessel with a wide beam and an overall length around 48ft when including an the extended swimboard and bow sprit. They are not to be confused with the current model Riviera 43 which replaced the Riviera 40. Unless you are familiar with the brand it's sometimes difficult to understand the Riviera lengths and models so it's important to compare like with like.

On the right as you enter the saloon a traditional bar area greats you boasting loads of drawers to store glasses and spirits plus a small bar fridge replacing what was possibly originally an icemaker. As you can see from the images, her saloon is spacious with light beaming in from 360 degrees of tinted windows. Cream and beige upholstery and new carpet compliments the gloss cherry cabinetry and soft furnishings. She's very functional with a choice of two L-shaped leather lounges, one with dining table, a mezzanine galley to port and large digtal TV integrated into a cabinet on the starboard dash. There is comfortably room for at least eight seated guests.

In more detail, her galley boasts Granicoat fibreglass benchtops typical of this generation of Riviera, upright fridge / freezer, ceramic cooktop and Convection Microwave oven. The floor is low maintenance composite timber plank. Lift the floor hatch to expose a storage area large enough for all of your grog and dry stores.

Just two steps down from the galley into the airconditioned accommodation wing, there is a guest cabin to port with two single side by side berths, hanging locker and access directly into the day head. Up in the bow is the master cabin with island berth and private ensuite. The broad bow of the Riviera 43 ensures there is plenty of room to access either side of the double bed. Ensuites include separate shower stalls and Vacuflush toilet systems. Each cabin having separate bathrooms is gold, as they say - two heads are better than one!

Her cockpit features beautiful solid teak decking which extends through a transom door onto the optional extended swim platform. This features stainless steel safety railing and electric BBQ. A fixed awning overhead includes side Breezeway sun shades enclosing the entire cockpit for complete protection from the elements. A chest style fridge/freezer is on the port side again the cabin bulkhead. Again, a very traditional Riviera inclusion. The teak is in great condition.

There are two locations for tenders. An electric davit system lifts the AB RIB with 25hp outboard onto the bow. This is an excellent commuter craft for scooting between the bays. Another cradle for a smaller inflatable is located above the rear deck. This is perfect for storing a lighter tender for getting ashore and pulling up the beach.

Her flybridge and command centre has two bucket seat helm chairs and a suite of navigation gear including a late model Garmin Touch Multifunction Display, anchor chain counter, Raymarine auto pilot and VHF radio. The Volvo Penta engines are controlled by electronic gear throttle combos. A Sidepower bow thruster adds another means to make you look good when berthing. More seating in front of the helm console converts creating a large double berth for those who like sleeping under the stars.
